Hello, I'm Ishan. This is where I write about what I am learning, in the hope that writing helps me understand things more clearly.

A lot of that learning will be around understanding and analyzing business: how companies work and where the edges in a business model really come from.

I also want to keep seeing and getting amazed by the biodiversity around me and across the planet, so some of what ends up here may be notes before a visit, notes after one, or the accidental field guide. We shall see.

I am part of the Investments team at Malpani Ventures, where we back Indian companies that require patient capital at an early stage.
